City of Milton Updating Emergency Notification System for Residents/Businesses

http://www.milton-wi.gov/CodeRed
The City of Milton is updating our emergency notification system contacts for residents and businesses, as we transition to a new service provider. The Emergency Communications Network (ECN) has taken over the City’s previous Global Connect system, which is an emergency notification system designed to alert residents of critical incidents in the City of Milton, which makes it a perfect time to register your cell phone, home or business land line, or email to ensure it is in the new system.

The City has had the emergency notification system since 2010, and will now be operating under the name “Code Red." This allows residents and their families to register land line phones, cell phones, and email addresses to be notified of emergencies that are happening throughout the City. The system has already been used to notify residents of water shutoffs, water main breaks, and emergency road closures.

The City encourages all residents and business owners to register for the system. Registration is simple, and can be completed on the City’s website by going to the following link: www.milton-wi.gov/CodeRed.

You can register more than one phone, and registration is free. So that we can keep you informed during a crisis, we encourage you to register your phone today.
